چکیده

In this study, the antidiabetic potential of aqueous extract Origanum minutiflorum was tested using streptozotocin induced diabetic rats. Changes in body weight, blood glucose level, biochemical parameters, antioxidant enzyme activities and histopathological examination kidney were evaluated. The administration carvacrol to group rats caused significant decrease glucose, parameters serum significantly increased concentration high density lipoprotein cholesterol. activity reduced MDA level. analysis showed that had possible ameliorative effect against damage. Aqueous is also α-amylase α-glucosidase inhibitor with activity. These scientific results confirm use O. as adjuvant therapy.
